Tough Birds for Tough Times
by Admin on January 4, 2010
Anywhere you travel, someone before you has probably made a better photo of whatever it is you want to shoot. How to make your picture unique? Put a rubber chicken in it. Suddenly you have something that can’t be found in a gift shop book and postcard rack. Best yet, YOUR photo could be posted on this blog for all the world to see—and that’s never going to happen with those “pretty” photos!
Want to strike up a conversation with an attractive stranger? Ask them to pose with your rubber chicken. (If they refuse, you’ll know they’re not your type.)
NOTE: Most likely the Travelocity Gnome got his traveling ideas from rubber chickens. The latter have been world travelers since the early 1940s. At half the price, a fraction of the weight, and 100 times the suitcase flexibility, they continue to outperform the Gnome.
TSA CAUTION: Hidden in a carry-on, the squawking ones can cause a dust-up with airport security screeners. (The dust quickly settles when the chicken reveals itself.)
Send us a photo of where yours has been and include a paragraph telling all about it!
